Karen Slape

One of Australia’s leading people change consultants, Karen brings a unique mix of hands-on practical problem solving experience and research based rigour to her clients.

With an extensive academic background in behavioural science and business, Karen started her career in the early 1990s in organisational development and training, helping companies achieve better sales performance, more harmonious workplaces and clearer direction.

Commercially focussed, Karen provides organisations with people change management strategies that are practical and achievable in the busy workplace and have tangible, measurable outcomes.

After studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), she developed a specialisation in team and one-on-one sports performance coaching and has enjoyed success with several athletes and teams, including the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Adelaide Football Club.

Nick Slape

Nick joined AltoPEOPLE after spending over 20 years working in executive HR roles, with a focus on people strategy, recruitment, leadership and organisational development for global organisations in industries that span brewing, manufacturing, wine and hospitality.

Driven by outcomes and focused on getting results for his clients, Nick brings a strong understanding of people management, a talent for refining operational structures and a real depth of expertise with his full suite of HR skills, to our experienced national team of people change consultants.

Nick’s approach is to first help leaders articulate what it is they’d like to achieve, then work with them on a plan for how to get there.

He is driven by commercial outcomes and completely buys in to the proposition that culture and fit are powerful levers. Getting this right allows senior teams to achieve what they have in mind for their organisation.

Nick’s extensive experience in HR, and holistic understanding of people and operational management, make him a strong consultative partner for any organisation or team looking to explore: succession, learning and development, reward, team structures, employment law-related issues, and leadership.
